Inland Northwest Health Services (INHS) is a regional collaboration to improve patient care through innovative technology solutions and shared services. INHS manages one of the nation's most advanced health information technology networks which ultimately improves patient care and lowers costs. The network has over 38 hospitals and health care facilities, more than 450 clinics and offices and over 2.8 million electronic records. INHS has built on this foundation to provide other services including a large TeleHealth system; electronic transmission of clinical images and laboratory test results and secure, wireless availability of patient records for health care providers in hospitals.
INHS is a non-profit corporation sponsored by Deaconess Medical Center, Holy Family Hospital, Sacred Heart Medical
Center and Valley Hospital and Medical Center in Spokane, Washington for providing collaboration in health care services.
The eHealth Initiative and the Foundation for eHealth Initiative are independent, non-profit affiliated organizations whose missions are the same: to drive improvement in the quality, safety, and efficiency of healthcare through information and information technology.
Both organizations are focused on engaging multiple and diverse stakeholders--including hospitals and other healthcare organizations, clinician groups, consumer and patient groups, employers and purchasers, health plans, healthcare information technology organizations, manufacturers, public health agencies, academic and research institutions, and public sector stakeholders--to define and then implement specific actions that will address the quality, safety and efficiency challenges of our healthcare system through the use of interoperable information technology.
