Thirteen hospitals using health information technology solutions from Inland Northwest Health Services (INHS) once again earned the distinction of being among the most technologically-advanced hospitals in the country in Hospitals & Health Networks’ ‘100 Most Wired’ 2014 list.
INHS provides health information technology solutions to hospitals, health care facilities and physician offices throughout the nation, allowing providers to achieve meaningful use measures to secure access to critical patient information.
‘Most Wired’ hospitals that meet rigorous criteria across four operational categories have made tremendous gains by using IT to reduce the likelihood of medical errors. Among ‘Most Wired’ hospitals, 81 percent of medications are matched to the patient, nurse and order via bar code technology at the bedside.
“Our region’s hospitals and providers continue to embrace innovation as a tool to achieve the highest levels of patient outcomes and continuity of care while reducing costs,” said Fred Galusha, chief information officer of INHS. “These hospitals and their staff are consistently recognized for leading technological integration efforts in the nation.”
