The Washington State Dietetic Association (WSDA) selected Lisa Randall, clinical coordinator with the CHER Diabetes Education Center, as the 2011 recipient of the Community Practice Award of Excellence. Randall was presented the award at the WSDA annual meeting in Yakima, WA on Tuesday, April 12, 2011.
The Community Practice Award of Excellence was established in 1990 to promote the worth of members and acknowledge the professional contribution of community dietetic practitioners in Washington State. “My work environment provides the opportunity to develop and create new programs and materials to provide our community with much needed education and resources, especially in light of the increasing rates of diabetes and obesity. I am honored to receive this award and to be recognized for things I have accomplished,” Randall stated.
