Campaign Raised More Than $40 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Across the U.S.
[SPOKANE] (July 17, 2013)—Wal-Mart and their customers recently wrapped up the annual 6-week campaign fundraising and confirmed they raised $146,050 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals of the Inland Northwest and its ten benefiting hospitals and programs. The fundraising campaign ran May 7 – June 21 in all Wal-Mart locations.
Walmart associates accepted donations in-store, including donations at the register, for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals of the Inland Northwest which will be used however the benefiting hospitals and programs need the funds the most. The hospitals and programs treat more than 132,000 local kids each year.
Like all in-store Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraisers, all of the donations raised from the Wal-Mart campaign will help create miracles by funding needed medical care, equipment and therapy programs that save and improve the lives of 1 in 10 children across North America every year. Donations help support the $6,500 in charitable care Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals provide every minute in the United States.
Wal-Mart has partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1987, raising more than $650 million for children’s hospitals. In 2012, Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers and members raised more than $60 million through the 6 week campaign and additional fundraising throughout the year for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the United States and Canada.
