health@work, a comprehensive health, wellness and productivity program developed by Inland Northwest Health Services (INHS), has met the American Heart Association’s criteria and earned the 2011 Gold Achievement Award for providing a work environment that promotes physical activity through a culture of wellness.
“health@work is dedicated to creating a healthier Spokane community,” said Emily Fleury, director of health@work. “We’ve successfully demonstrated positive outcomes with employees of INHS and are able to help other companies achieve this level of success as well.”
The health@work program provides solutions to meet the individual needs of business. With customized service packages to provide businesses the freedom to create complete, cost-effective wellness programs for their employees, health@work’s collaborative team of certified health educators, registered nurses, dietitians and certified diabetes educators work together to address employer and employee needs. This helps improve the overall health and wellness of the organization and ultimately decreases health care costs.
