  - American Hospital Association's (AHA) Health Forum released a survey published by Hospitals & Health Networks (H&HN), awarding St. Luke's Rehabilitation Institute as a national 2017 Most Wired hospital for the 14 th consecutive time. St. Luke's earned the distinction of being among the most technologically-advanced hospitals in the country by using technology for improved and safer patient care.

St. Luke's is continually building on the use of technology throughout our rehabilitative continuum of care," said Nancy Webster, administrator at St. Luke's. "Our assistive technology lab helps patients with disabilities access the computer to connect socially and attend school remotely; remote monitoring allows us to watch over our pediatric and brain injury patients; and the independent living apartment shows patients with limited mobility home automation solutions and environmental controls through smart phone apps and blue tooth technology."

St. Luke's is one of 24 hospitals awarded Most Wired using a variety of health information technology solutions from Engage, a division of Inland Northwest Health Services (INHS), which were measured as having growth within patient engagement and data security standards in health care.

The survey of more than 698 participants, representing more than 2,158 hospitals, examines how organizations are leveraging IT to improve performance for value-based health care in the areas of infrastructure, business and administrative management; quality and safety; and clinical integration. Just 461 hospitals and health systems were selected as Most Wired.

Detailed results of the survey and study can be found in the July issue of H&HN. For a full list of winners, visit .
